Olympic Collection
I am pleased to share with you this fascinating and extraordinary interest of mine. My collection has grown in recent years up to 12'000 items, thereof 1000 posters, 600 mascots, all 46 official reports, 33 medals of participants, 700 tickets, 80 winner’s and participant’s diplomas, brochures and much more.
I am focussing on the design of official print material such as books, posters, diplomas, tickets. My key purpose is to find out more about the drivers of the design development.
Key source of knowledge is my library where I keep finding new items and thoughts ever again. Munich 1972 and Lillehammer 1994 are the Olympic games closest to my heart. They have set new standards in graphic design still of great influence today.
