Lillehammer 1994
One of the most successful Design program of the last decades were made in the early 90 in Norway. Petter T. Moshus and his team presented to the world an extraordinary and absolutely innovative and consequent Design concept. Not only for the host city of Lillehammer also for the whole country. The design programme was the main tool in achieving the goal of presenting a unified image. It featured basic visual elements which could be combined in different ways to serve as a basis for recognition and identification – the Lillehammer emblem, the pictograms, the pictographic emblems, the crystal theme, colours, typography and the mascots. For the first time Olympic design gets a story and a background.
